Practical Details
How much space and setup do you need?
Not a lot. I bring everything needed and the setup is straightforward, whether I’m working digitally or with classic sketches.
I can work from a small branded area, a fixed drawing spot, or move around the event depending on the space and format. The aim is always to fit in smoothly without disrupting the flow.
For static digital caricatures with a large screen setup, I usually need around 30 minutes to set up and a space of roughly 1.5m x 1.5m. For more on this, see the digital caricatures page.
Can you work roaming as well as from one location?
Yes — both work well, depending on the event.
For drinks receptions, networking events and parties, roaming often works best as I can draw guests where they’re gathered. For trade shows or branded activations, a fixed setup can create a strong visual focal point.
How many guests can you draw during an event?
That depends on timings, event type and whether you choose digital or classic caricatures.
Classic sketches usually offer the highest guest coverage, while digital caricatures are ideal when branded output and instant sharing are part of the brief. Either way, the aim is to keep things moving and create a steady flow throughout the event.
