Not a lot. I bring everything needed and the setup is straightforward, whether I’m working digitally or with classic sketches.
I can work from a small branded area, a fixed drawing spot, or move around the event depending on the space and format. The aim is always to fit in smoothly without disrupting the flow.
For static digital caricatures with a large screen setup, I usually need around 30 minutes to set up and a space of roughly 1.5m x 1.5m. For more on this, see the digital caricatures page.
Yes — both work well, depending on the event.
For drinks receptions, networking events and parties, roaming often works best as I can draw guests where they’re gathered. For trade shows or branded activations, a fixed setup can create a strong visual focal point.
That depends on timings, event type and whether you choose digital or classic caricatures.
Classic sketches usually offer the highest guest coverage, while digital caricatures are ideal when branded output and instant sharing are part of the brief. Either way, the aim is to keep things moving and create a steady flow throughout the event.
Classic black-and-white caricatures usually take around 3–4 minutes per person. As a result, I’ll usually draw approximately 12–16 guests per hour.
Meanwhile, a full-colour digital caricature takes around 5 minutes per person. I’ll usually draw approximately 8–12 guests per hour, although printing or sharing the artwork may add another minute or two.

Classic paper caricatures can also be pre-printed with your logo, title or event name.
Logos, event names, messaging and themed templates can all be included, which works particularly well for exhibitions, launches, conferences and brand activations.
Guests leave with their caricature to keep — either as a hand-drawn sketch or digital artwork with an optional printed postcard.

Yes. I can draw couples and small groups together, although naturally they take a little longer than individual caricatures. At very busy events and exhibitions, drawing individuals is usually the quickest way to keep things moving.
London and the M4 corridor are my main working areas, but I also work throughout the UK, including Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff, Edinburgh and the South West.
In addition, I regularly travel internationally for events across Europe, Scandinavia, the United States and Middle East.

Corporate caricatures are available as both digital and traditional hand-drawn artwork, created live at the event and given to guests as a memorable takeaway.
Live caricatures work particularly well at trade shows, conferences, exhibitions, networking events, drinks receptions and staff events, where they help create natural interaction, attract attention and keep guests engaged.
Two main options are available:
- Digital caricatures – ideal for branded events, exhibitions and campaigns, with logos, messaging and instant digital sharing
- Classic hand-drawn caricatures – fast, flexible live sketches on paper with strong guest coverage
Both options can be provided from a fixed setup or in a roaming format depending on the event space and brief.
