How long does a drawing take?
Usually around 3–4 minutes per person – depending on what they look like and how well behaved they are.
What do guests receive?
Caricatures are usually drawn on A3 paper, or A4 if preferred. Each drawing is rolled and secured with an elastic band so guests can easily take it home.
How many guests can you draw?
It depends on timings, event style and the guests — but typically around 12–16 people per hour.
Do you travel?
Yes — I’m based in Bath and regularly work throughout London, Bristol, the South West, across the UK and internationally.
When do caricatures work best at weddings?
Drinks receptions, wedding breakfasts and evening receptions all work brilliantly. They give guests something fun to watch, talk about and take home.
Do you need much space?
Not much at all. I can work roaming through guests or from a small dedicated drawing area.
Are the drawings mean?
No – they’re fun and designed to make people laugh.
Every guest is different and needs a different approach. Sometimes I’ll be very flattering, other times they’ll want something more exaggerated. After drawing hundreds of thousands of people, I know exactly how far to go.
Can you work outdoors?
Yes – weather permitting, and we’ll always discuss a sensible backup plan.
